In an unexplicable case of cultural sensitivity gone awry, a German family court judge has cited passages from the Koran, which uphold a husbands right to beat his wife in domestic life.

The couple from Morocco, had filed for speedy divorce under German law’s requirement for a “hardship”, citing beatings and death threats from her husband.

The German family law judge, rejected the “hardship” and cited passages from the Koran which seemingly allow a husband to beat his wife!

Strange but true. Hard to believe that could ever happen here in the US, but one can never tell.
